Lately I've read that it's good for mental health to write down at least one thing each day that you are grateful for or that made you happy. It is the means of leaving a trace that life isn't all doom and gloom.

It doesn't have to be something revolutionary, very serious or life-changing. It can be a minor thing too, for example a small pleasant thing that happened during the day, i.e. stuffing one's face with a cake.

I'll start. Today I had a really fancy and posh pumpkin pie spice latte. It wasn't even super sweet like those lattes often tend to be. It had a pleasant, creamy texture and a good balance of gentle, milky and spicy flavour. I really enjoyed sitting down and drinking it, even though it didn't last very long.

I was woken up this morning with a surprise I'd been waiting for since February this year. I totally gave up on the idea I'll never receive my parcel. Even the courier company gave up searching for it and eventually, my package just popped up out of nowhere.

I guess miracles do happen once in a while. 😊

@Saka I absolutely love this topic!!! Very true, it's always about the little things!

I've made this simple dish from my home country 2 times already now and yesterday was my 3rd time. I've been trying to get the recipe right but there's just something about it that doesn't taste right. BUT my 3rd time turned out to be AMAZING compared to the last 2 times so it made me quite happy that I finally got the recipe right :D (it's my lunch for today too hehehe)

I read about the failed previous attempts and I imagined a lady trying a dish she cooked and making a long face: "it's not like when nonna made it". Practice clearly makes perfect though!

I am glad that I managed to get my bamboo swords shipped today. They've been sitting lonely at my parents' place for the past five years. Luckily, I've gotten better at getting complicated matters resolved and off they went. Now it's just a matter of hoping they won't arrive in more/smaller pieces after a journey through the sea, but at least I tried.

For me, the best news I hope to get is a message from the university that we are going to have a break at least 1 day 😅

I'm used to it, it's alright just waiting for my leg muscles to recover because it gives more pain than any other muscle

I managed to iron my hakama today and the pleats look like new now. I don't even remember how long it was in a very sorry state, so seeing it lie on the floor flat was very satisfactory. And turns out having an engineering degree is helpful for fixing a complicated mess.

Now i need to gather my stamina before tackling my other one, which is in even worse state after I made the mistake of giving it to the cleaners. 😭
