First, my own gaming journey. I started with nokia flip phone , played games like Snake, and later the First box computer, since we didnt have much money so i had to game on that computer for awhile. I remember being obsessed with Solitaire club, Chess and everything of the board games.

Then i got my own laptop which wasnt the gamer laptop, it was more basic, actually from Lenovo too, i used it too play minecraft, because at that moment it was the only thing it could run. I spent day After day playing that game, thank god that laptop came at that moment. If it didnt happen, then i wouldnt stand where i stand today. With that Lenovo laptop i entered FPS world, it was fun playing counter strike source and 1.6, but later on new games come, requirements of the new games becomes stronger, my obsession with games becomes Even stronger. So After awhile i got my another gaming pc, i played much stronger games then, Gta, csgo. Fps Games are the best thing i know. But for half a year ago i lost my gaming Computer, got replaced with a basic laptop for school, now i only game League of Legends because it is the only thing it Runs without overheat.

Evolving… such a great and important word. I started playing Donket Kong on Game&Watch. Via Breakout, Qixon and Doom I have ended up in VR, playing Rick&Morty and other games to take me to other worlds. It has changed my mind about what is right and wrong as well as my reaction times has been continually improving. As a gamer, I have learnt to build my own computer and teach others how to do that. Helping others and being part of a team is my biggest take-away when it comes to evolving due to gaming.

Gaming has taught me a lot of valuable things:
    - how to behave during stressed situation, and during time press, jungle many activities simultaneously
    - feeling of a community even though we didn't see each other- development of my reaction

As a child i was somewhat awkward and had few to zero real friends. Gaming opened up a whole new world for me enabling me to finally find kindred spirits. I don't believe i would have found my real self if it weren't for gaming.

Gaming has had a huge role in my life.
A little about my background: divorced parents, a father with alcohol problem and violent tendencies, bullying... Tldr; not a very happy childhood.
But one that kept me going was gaming. My older brothers were really into it and made sure I could enjoy gaming just like they did. My father couldn't stand us gaming, but it didn't stop us. Some of my fondest memories of my brothers are of us playing videogames together. I got through the worst days because I could find solace in gaming. Many of my most complicated feelings and experiences could be processed by being able to indentify them in video games while experiencing so many wonderful stories and characters.
Later on, I found so many new friends through gaming, with who I still keep in touch after so many years.
Gaming had a huge impact on my english; later in life I was accepted to clear junior high school in a class that was taught only in english. Still to this day I am confident in my language skills: I got accepted to a very expensive training program at work because of them.
Still to this day, gaming is really important to me. My work is really hard (mentally) and gaming helps me recover after a tough day. Even my older brothers and I still game together on a daily basis! So I could say that gaming always has been and still is a big part of my life and my identity.

Gaming has done a plethora of good for me, and quite frankly evolved me into the person I am today. Not only has it taught me english, problem solving and social skills, but it has also opened a whole new world of creativity and wonder. It has also developed my nerves and patience, because the old games I started with were insanely difficult for a young child. It literally took me years to finish some of them.

I use game logic to finish my homework. Evry homework is like one task I have to complete to get to the next level. When I get enough amount of points I graduate.

Starting from the beginning, growing up in Greenland i learned English through games on my Nintendo 64 as well as on RuneScape (which i still play to this day). Those English skills i learned proved to be quite useful as it is now my most used language even though i live in Denmark, purely due to my friendships i have throughout the entire world, whom i met through gaming.

Not only that but i grew up with some mental health issues including social anxiety, where gaming has helped me overcome that to find people who after years of friendship are still in my life. Gaming also had me join and stream on Twitch where i got to train my social anxiety to not be as bad.

The stories in a lot of games also motivated me to improve myself in many aspects, characters overcoming their biggest demons and flaws motivated me to always improve myself, which is why i have lost a lot of weight in recent years and built muscle since my weight has always been something i fought.

And lastly, the art from video games is indescribable and beautiful and that has had an influence on me, in the way that i covered myself in tattoos where most of them are from video games, new and old games are represented on my arm and will forever be there.

So all in all, gaming has evolved me mentally, physically and basically in every aspect of my life.

I have learned more language, gotten better at reading and gaming has made me feel better on bad days. I have also made a few friends through gaming, most that I don't talk to anymore, but some I added on social media and therefore even though they(and/or I) stopped playing the game, we could still stay in touch.

I used to be a lvl 13 quiet, shy little girl, but after grinding some gaming and gaining ALL the experience, I evolved to a lvl 34 (bit more) confident woman, with a whole lot of amazing friendships around the world.

Gaming also upgraded my ability to spot the guys you wanna avoid, as all I'd have to do, is let them know I'm female - in the same way, it taught me to just hide my gender when possible. When having to use the mic, you know you have the best gaming buddies, when you call out enemies position, and your PUG ppl goes "are you a grill?" and your mate replies
leave my little brother alone, he's only 13!
(it works - and please feel free to use it, gents, if you have a female teammember, thx).

I am now also just a half of a whole, as I sorta mental-merged with a gaming buddy from another timezone, and proceeded to import him 6 years ago. I have a bachelor in informatics (thanks for spiking that interest, gaming!) and am still a noob at every game ever. My companion is halfway through his IT university study, and still kicks ass at every game ever (yes, THAT kind of annoying type).

Currently, due to a year with an enjury, the evolution stopped and the friendships gained are faiding, as I spend most my time on the couch. Therefor, a laptop to keep me company here, would do wonders for my social life!
