First of all, gaming gave me a hobby and social interaction.
Secondly it "evolved" my language skills.

I used to be one of the "outsiders", back in school.

However it changed when the game Tibia was released 1997, "everyone" at school played it back then. Hence I became slightly popular, as I was better than most back then.

Over the years i've met countless friends through online-gaming, and been travelling around Europe to meet these people.
Even met people from Brazil, online. They ended up travelling to Sweden just in order to hang out.

Gaming also helped with my anger management, I used to be one of the kids who could never lose and smashed things if things went sour.
Gaming has learnt me to take a deep breath and try that boss one... Two... 11... 27 times more, without losing temper.

Gaming gave me a half a year ago.
During interview the person asked what i do after work. "Too much gaming".
He introduced me to the team which consists only of gamers and said "We found our next player 6 in the squad."

My evolution story through gaming goes on forever, just as anyone else's.

Gaming has helped me in many ways. Giving me a break from reality and letting me relax, but also be able to learn and develop skills.

The most obvious thing is that having English as a second language, video games have had a huge role to play in my learning of the language.

I have developed stronger cognitive abilities. Able to piece together what I’m supposed to do by using my reasoning and seeing what the environment around me has to offer.

My reaction time has also been improved, from the countless games where being quick to act is crucial in order to succeed.

Lastly I believe I have grown more patient and calm, and appreciative of my surroundings after admiring the nature in games like rdr2 and The Hunter: Call of The Wild. It made me realise that nature in real life can be really beautiful as well, and I now enjoy simply taking walks in the woods or mountains listening to and taking in the nature.

Gaming as been part of my life for a long time. A few years ago I was in a bad place and gaming helped me through it. Whether it was Dishonored 2 or Hearthstone, I found peace. Also my English has been greatly improved because I am not a native speaker.

Gaming has evolved me in a way I can not repay. It has been more than 2 hours of game time and more than 2 weeks passed so I can not refund gaming XD.

I am really looking forward to the future of gaming and maybe Elon Musk's deep dive VR set o.o. Thanks for reading!

I will answer by also telling a story. When I began lower secondary school I started losing the few friends I had (no worry’s, got more later) so I looked into Minecraft. Which I have played ever since. But I eventually got bored of it so I started playing rocket league as well, and bought a better computer. Trough both games I meet many friends, and even started esport in rocket league with some of them. Skip forward to today and we play regularly together (all games) but I also got interested in filmmaking. So I have started on my path to one day have that as a job, but when me and my friends have made some films for fun it didn’t feel like work. It felt like I had found what I was looking for. Purpose, fun and of course Friends. As someone with Asperger syndrome gaming and filmmaking have made me not feel alone, and it has given me more fun and joy than I can possibly ever describe.

I learned how to read and write english,When i started to play video games in late 80s early 90s whit nes and amiga, i asked my older sister what the game says, and learned to read by playing. From there learning to speak came whit ez, it came more and more natural when started wow and got in a active guild and spoke it allmoust dayli. Now a days when i need to speak engish whit some customers they often ask where i have learned to speak so good, and when i say by playing games they are very suprised and laugh =D

Gaming has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have become a better person and made many friends around the world. I have lately focused on streaming on twitch. There I meet many who carry the same as me, a passion for gaming. Reaching out to many makes me happy that I might be able to enjoy then with laughter and humor in a game. Gaming will always be with me until I am no more.

Gaming has given me more patience and stress resistance, not mentioning faster reaction time and sharper problem solving skills.
Also I've improved my English :)
