    Hello Legion Gamers!

A few weeks ago, there was a post about the upcoming animation based on video games. Well, one of them is fast approaching, we have less than a week left until Splinter Cell: Deathwatch comes out:

Sam is a bit more...how to put it...seasoned, in this animation. I guess it makes sense: ageing him would make for more suspense, as he was unstoppable in his prime. With age, he may be slower and more vulnerable, perhaps. Though I am hoping it will be a better story than Batman: The Dark Knight Returns 😅

So if you like Splinter Cell or game-based animation ( @miskkie and @AgariciRo, I will tag you just in case, as I remember you commenting about it in the older post), make note, as the clock is ticking, and we'll get to see the new adventures of Sam next week. Unlike the first Splinter Cell game remake, which has been taking ages and has not had any news for a while now. But I'll take what I can get at this point 😅

Youtube comments on the trailers have not been too kind. Hope it's still decent.

@miskkie to be fair, I find that it is often the case, most game-based animation, especially in Netflix, is somewhat lacking, and making Sam old is bound to be a divisive choice.

Witcher or Castlevania or Dragon Age animations had that style and partially odd narrative/character design decisions, too. And don't get me started on what a letdown Dead Cells animation was for me.

I'd say, only Arcane and Edgerunners were satisfactory impressive for me in the last few years as far as animated game adaptations are concerned.

Still, I like the Splinter Cell series. Or I did when it was in its prime, but it's been ages since the last game, not since Tom Clancy died (RIP). So I may give it a try on nostalgia alone (and who knows, maybe this is what they are counting on). But I will not keep watching if I do not like it enough.
