@DracoTarot I don't know much about visual art, but I like the ones with food. I like food 😅

@DoctorEldritch 😂. Maybe I will do a painting of a juicy hamburger or pizza then post and you can then indulge. 😄

@DracoTarot Oh, you don't need to go to such lengths, besides, hamburgers and pizza can be rather fattening. I'll be happy with some cheese 😉 🧀

@DoctorEldritch Cheese it is 😂😅! The issue with painting is when there's food involved; most of the time, all the food will be gone before the painting is completed. I would eat most of my artwork. The best is to make a print and start from there. 😂

Wow these are really good I love them so much. The attention to detail. A job well done it looks like it’s been done by a professional. How did you get into art? Have you always loved painting or drawing? Do you sell your artwork they are that good. I think you should. 😍🥰

@DracoTarot no worries. I didn’t mean pressurise you or anything I just know that you mentioned quite some time back painting is a hobby of yours too and that you share when you felt more comfortable to share you work. I do hope you family member is doing better.

@DracoTarot Actually, after you mentioned it, I looked into it and, surprisingly, there is no subgenre of still-life food that was eaten. Like plates and dishes with only crumbs, peels, leftovers, that sort of thing.

Interestingly, there is a subgenre of spoiled/rotten food, food that was left untouched, but none or very little of paintings that would show food (or lack of it) after it's been eaten. We could be at the dawn of a new movement if you decide to give it a go 😉

@NayNay Aww, thank you so much for your kind words. Trust me I'm no professional but I try my best 😊.

Well, I always had a passion for drawing, painting and building things. I guess it sort of runs in the family. I actually wanted to be more involved in music than arts and crafts but it didn't work out so well for me.

I started focusing more on painting and drawing and during COVID I had a whole lot of time on my hands. All the paintings I posted was done within the pandemic and while I was at home.

I never really thought of selling my work and mostly paint for people who is looking for something to hang in their houses.

The ones I've done are for family and friends.

No pressure at all. You know how it goes in this country of ours. Everyday there's something to deal with.

My family members are doing well. Thanks for asking.

Hopefully I'll share more with you when I'm starting with new projects.

Many thanks for your interest. If you're jeen on posting more of your work, please do.

I hope you had a wonderful week so far. Enjoy the Easter weekend. 🙂

@DoctorEldritch I hope you're week is not so hectic as mine. Running a marathon this side.

Quite true, there's not a lot out there. I have seen some illustrations and displays featuring stills of food which have been eaten. Mostly in a theatre environment.

I guess it's to set some kind of mood at that specific moment.

Spoiled food on the other hand illustrated in paintings drawings I heard has a more deeper meaning. It symbolic in a certain way and has a lot to do with a specific period.

Maybe I can create a new movement. It's worth a shot. If someone can sell a half eaten banana stuck to a wall woth ductape, half eaten food paintings just might work. 🥴😄

@DracoTarot I can see the passion in your artwork. It shines through. I still feel that you should share your artwork.

I’ve always wanted to do a short course or something in art to enhance my skills. Life has been busy and I haven’t had time to create any art.

I’m happy to hear your family is doing well.

Looking forward to any of your pieces in the near future.

Blessed week and Happy Easter to you too. 😊

@NayNay I'm kinda of a introvert and not much of a people person. I'm also an empath and sharing my work with others has it's limits. I know it sounds horrible but I think I do criticise myself too much. 🙂

Short courses are Ideal to learn but not needed. Expressing yourself comes naturally and you do have your own gifts which makes you unique.

I have the same problem. Time is has become a huge factor and it's sad how we need to focus more on things that are not worthwhile in the end because of how the world changed.

Oh well, go with the flow I guess. 🙂

Many thanks. Blessings to you too.

@DracoTarot My week is more hectic than usual, too. Nothing as exhausting as a marathon, but I have a few NDA extracurriculars this time around.

Theatre is an interesting example, I mean, it is valid, but at the same time, by its nature, ephemeral. Performances repeat over and over, while paintings are forever. I like how Maggie Smith described it at the beginning of one of her interviews:

Oh yes, I read about the symbolism of spoiled food, and not only in still art too, it is used a lot in the movies as well. But at the same time, food leftovers can also be symbolic and quite telling, too. Perhaps in a less visual or abstract sense than spoiled food, but they can be more relatable elements of the story.

Like when the dining room has 2 plates, one is empty and only has leftover crumbs on it, and the other one has half-finished food, you start thinking, what is the story? Was it a couple having dinner and one of them got interrupted? Was it an argument? Did one of them have to leave urgently and, if so, why? And why did the other one did not go with them and finished the food instead? Is it a couple in the first place, or maybe just one person who likes to eat two portions at a time but could not finish the second portion this time and, if so, why today of all days he could not finish it? You know, normal questions you ask yourself when seeing food like that on TV 😉

If nothing else, I think it may be interesting to explore artistically a direction that is so untouched so far, there aren't that many artistic directions like that left these days.

To be honest, I never did understand all the fuss around that banana. I don't get modern art...
