@DracoTarot I would not say it is an SA trend, it seems to be happening in many places, I want to say people may be fatigued. Maybe if en masse organisers started to think about how to make the events less hassleous and more recuperation and relaxing, more people would be interested. It could be that the lack of interest comes from the lack of energy.

Don't know when that game comes out fully, but looks promising indeed.

@DoctorEldritch I think it will be best for organizers to follow that route. People will also be more interested in going to the vents if the price is right. Some tickets are extremely expensive and less perks. I've seen VIP Tickets on sale for a few grand but do not include backstage passes as in the past. Usually, those tickets also included a lunch or dinner and you had the opportunity to meet some of the developers or at a music concert the band.

Nowadays you only have the privilege to have front-row seats and that's it.

My guess is by the end of May. 😊

@DracoTarot Maybe it's a time thing? Time is becoming more precious, if before you could afford to stay for dinner with VIPS, now you have to run to something more productive, like a meeting for the next project, or moving to the next location, and so forth? Prices are rising, competition is chasing, so no time to sit widely around with your fans, always run forward...

Why the end of May? I thought it'd make sense to release somewhere in February, there are a few Lovecraft-themed events during that month, but that month is over and nothing happened. Did your Tarot say something about May? 🤔

@DoctorEldritch Time to slow things down I'd say. Go back to the routes and move away from the hustle and bustle. I know it's easier said than done but somewhere order must be restored. 😊

It seems to be a trend to announce a release date, and then everyone gets excited, but when the specific day and month arrive, it's cancelled or put on hold. They have done it with a few games in recent months or cancelled the release altogether.

Usually, they then release the game the next month or move the date a few months on. That's why I have a hunch the game will be released in May. My Tarot decks say a lot about May but nothing about game releases. 😂

@DracoTarot Time never slows down, it only speeds up 😅

True, though I want to say that it may not always be by some sort of malicious design: the gaming industry is so turbulent right now with studios closing down often, delays and game cancellations are to be expected.

That, and sometimes studios do not want to release next to something big, I remember reading somewhere that some studios delayed releases in February to avoid releasing close to Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: that game was so good, it pulled all the spotlight. It is hard to get noticed and make good sales if you're released next to a game like that.

Hmm, maybe. I'd say October/November is more likely, the game released to Early Access last October and they wrote it will be in EA for about a year. My guess is that they may be aiming for the next Halloween season, would make sense. But who knows, The Great Old Ones may intervene and make them release in May, could happen 😅

@DoctorEldritchTime does not slow down especially when getting older. It goes by so fast.

@DoctorEldritch It's so sad to see studio's closing down. It would be nice if some of the successful studios step in to save them.

I guess it's all about monopoly and it makes sense to hold back on certain releases. The thing I don't agree with is announcing dates and then the whole thing is cancelled afterwards. The Last of Us Part 3 is an example.

I think your intuition is spot on and mine not so much. Let see who's guess comes to fruition. 🙂

@DracoTarot I guess you could slow time down by travelling to space and being affected by massive gravity like they did in Interstellar, but we're ages away from that. The more readily available method seems to do something you really dislike, I heard time starts to slow down when you're doing that 😅

Sometimes they do, though not studios but publishers. Krafton saved Tango Gameworks from closure in August 2024, for example. It's just that stories of studios being saved or making a comeback are rarer than studios closing down 😥

On the one hand, I agree with you, but on the other, I am also thinking, if a studio has a good IP like TLoU, but sees that it can't really make a good game with it even after they announced it and worked on it for a while(because the creative director left, or something else), I'd prefer them cancelling it rather than releasing a bad product in the franchise that I like. A bad game is more painful than a cancelled one, for me.

In this case, it's mostly logic rather than intuition 😅 But logic may be wrong too, let's see indeed 😊

@DracoTarot And I’m still patiently waiting for your artwork. I would really love to see them from one art lover/creator to another.

@DracoTarot And I’ve been MIA, been busy hardly have time for myself lol. I do however check in every so often to welcome new members and check what’s happening or what I’ve missed out on. This community had me connecting with people I’d never thought of. Making friends online, feeling like you belong.

@NayNay Apologies, I haven't uploaded my artwork yet. I've been away from home for a couple of weeks and do not have photos on my mobile. I promise that as soon as I arrive back home, I'll post and tag you. 😊

I've also been so busy lately. Had to look after a family member who was ill and helped out my aunt. The Legion Community is an awesome place to be, and our fellow gamers are such wonderful people. I never had a dull moment here.

I check in each day and make sure I do not miss anything.

@NayNay Hi there! I hope you had a wonderful week. As promised, here are the art pieces I did a while back. They are mostly floral designs for my mum and my aunt.

I'm currently busy with a pomagranite paining and nearly finished. 😊
