Hello Legion Gamers!

After a period of press release and premium access, Avowed is out today for all to play! This is a new game from Obsidian, quite well received so far. I as usual will be waiting for the DLC plans to be announced, but for those who may want to play it already, here are a few things that may help you decide if you want to:

The bits about PC are most relevant for me, of course, but it is interesting to see the technical execution of the game. But it does not go that deep into the game. For that, there is an interview with almost two hundred questions:

So with that, you're hopefully all set to get an impression about the game from every angle there is: technical, development, journalist review and gameplay. As for vox popului, the game scored Very Positive on Steam so far.

i like the story of this game and the characters and sound.
it seems like its a mix of witcher and avatar. well done, i am going to try it.

@miskkie Not buggy as such (at least not to the level The Outer Worlds was 😅), but people are comparing it to Skyrim a lot now...

@iuiu Seems like it may be closer to Skyrim... Still, I want to try it too, I like Obsidian, but I will wait for any DLCs. They usually add those, The Outer Worlds had two.

I have downloaded it. But alas today I have been too busy with being a proper adult, and swede, making the classic ham gratin, and a sudden change of taste in my desk setup, to get time to enjoy it. Perhaps tomorrow before I leave for the library to pick Wu Kong I might be able to try it.

@Telomina Ah, well, these days downloading and playing a game all evening and being a "proper adult" are not mutually exclusive 😅 The classic ham gratin sounds lovely though. I am planning to marinade some chicken drumsticks myself...

Chicken drumsticks sound really good. I forgot to thaw the chicken wings... my original plan was to do the baked chicken wings recipe I found last weekend this weekend as well.

@Telomina Ah, I see. Did you manage to do all those tasks in the end?

I marinaded and froze them, and will need to thaw them too when the time comes, though it is quite annoying to do, takes a while. So while that's done, I am moving on to steamed food for a bit...

Oh, well that was practical. I finally did my chicken wings last night. But I freeze them once they've been cooked. It is really easy & simple to reheat in the airfryer, and it will even taste like I just made them from scratch too.

Oh, I like steamed food. What will you be making? I tried a steamed eggs recipe the other night. Tried to make it in the wok. I had forgotten I actually own a steam-cooker.

In Avowed I managed to create my character, I then suddenly got very tired after the intro, or perhaps during the intro, I should say. And I am now on a break from it.

But is it just me who felt like it's a bit "Last of Us"- feeling over the "god-thingie"? Like imagine in Last of Us someone got infected and was all "no worries, I've just been touched by god."
