@UnapologeticDino Ooh, such a sweet topic! I will chip in my memory, even though I am not eligible for the contest. 😉

Many years ago, when dinosaurs were still alive and roaming the Earth, I did challenge mode dungeons in World of Warcraft with some friends. Our setup was called by some bystander "rather unorthodox". As you can guess, that caused some... complications. Complications in the form of sniffing the flowers from the underside.

There was this one dungeon called "Scarlet Monastery" that was particularly trickier than the other ones. It featured a lot of nasty spellcasters and our tank played the weakest class in terms of magic defense. We were teamed up on Skype (yes, Skype! Discord didn't exist back then) and every now and then I hears a loud "WHAT--- THE -- F-U-C-K!". Those were also one of the very few words my deaf (extremely hard of hearing) ass could understand. Those words were usually also followed by a dungeon restart, as the timers were so tight that it was impossible to recover after a death.

Eventually, we did get the gold timer on that dungeon. And all of them. Then many other dungeons over the years followed me, but the screams of a shocked tank staring at his corpse haunt me to this day.

Oh, and I married the tank some years later.

My most memorable achievement was in Diablo 2. After putting many hours into the game I was lucky enough to collect one of the most legendary items after a few speedruns. I got an elite version of Ancient Armor. It held the honour of being the armor with the highest possible base defence. I also had the opportunity to max out my character stats and able to wear the armor.

I eventually auctioned off my character to another Diablo 2 player many moons ago and with the money, I purchased a new motherboard and processor. 😊

@GoLLuM13 Haha, it's worth trying. if you accidentally end up playing with certain people often lasting friendships are formed this way. I am in touch with quite a lot of people that I met in various games.

@UnapologeticDino Back in my pubg mobile days me and 3 other friends used to play daily. In our tournament era, there was a match we were running around 25kills total and about 5 teams of 4 left in this small circle in pochinki.

It was my one team mate and I vs the rest. Tensions were high because of how close we were to the prize pool and all of a sudden the circle doesn't stop closing (should of had 3 phases left). We say 'heck' it, we going out blazing.

Team mate goes upstairs, i throw all my flashes and smokes in random directions, i see foot steps. for the anime fans, when I say I used ultra instinct while using an over heating p8 lite I mean it. I wish I still had the replays of that match because of the stunts we pulled. we ended up coming out second because this one guy killed ourselves, his team and himself with a grenade but the no scopes and nfs skills used to escape were top tier, i'll never forget the laughs shared that day because my one friend kept blowing himself up one way or another because of the lag.

@Saka it's the same for me, I actually have people that I've met online that I consider "friends" . I have a whatsapp group that it has been created mainly for asking people when they were online and now there are daily updates of our life. I love this thing, some people say that gaming makes you lonely, I think completely the opposite!

@Sarkhan I think it's moreso if you only play single player games and don't engage in any community. I remember in the days when the internet was still young, people were only upgrading from dial up connections - but there were forums and communities for players, even the single player games had those. And in MMOs clans/guilds were actually tighter knit than nowadays, with active forums and whatnot. Nowadays online gaming is more spontaneous and people don't stop to connect as often, but it still happens.

I'm no means a good gamer, in the sense that I am better than others. But I do enjoy playing, and sharing that experience.

In this GIF I was playing to pass time, do the challenges and just have fun, when I realised that we were about to win and my ULT was ready. I wasn't gonna waste that. I thought I could fly over to the group to team up for the win (that I actually had no contribution to, lol) but instead I got a wonderfully timed flip.

I was wild with the excitement as "champion" flashed across my screen, and they thought it's because we won. Then I sent the capture and they understood. I inadvertently got the backflip timed to sync with the champion banner so perfectly it was like a promo video. Except that after the victory pose screen, the stats screen show just how useless I was in that fight. Gotta stay honest and humble. It was very cinematic though.

Doubt I can get that lucky twice, but that was a wonderful and silly little moment I had and wanted to share.
