One google search later, I have found out that today is actually Eiffel Tower Day! It has officially been 134 YEARS since the inauguration of the Eiffel Tower! Here are some fancy facts about Eiffel Tower too:
    1. The Eiffel Tower was once yellow!
    2. It was the world's tallest structure for 4 decades! (It's Burj Khalifa now 🗼)
    3. A conman "Victor Lustig" sold Eiffel tower, twice!

Pssst, it is also World Backup Day! So here's a reminder to backup all of your data!

Let me know what you guys think of this haha

@gohan Same, I had just learnt about it now, apparently it has changed colors over the years a lot. Also, the Statue of Liberty too was brown initially before it turned green due to rust/oxidation! Another fact about Eiffel Tower is that the same person (Gustave Eiffel) was the second designer of the Statue of Liberty!

Actually the tower had a Venice red tint at the very beginning before being yellow, and it must be painted every 7 years on average with a special paint, and it is an "order" coming straight from Gustave Eiffel, and it is still the case today

Here are the different colors the tower knew from the beginning until now :

    Details about the colors

    • 1887/88: “Venice red” paint, applied in the workshop before assembly of the elements.
    • 1889: Application of a very thick “red brown” layer.
    • 1892: The Tower becomes “brown ochre”.
    • 1899: Installation of 5 degraded colors from orange yellow at the base to light yellow at the top. It is from this campaign that the 7-year cycle is selected for the renewal of the painting.
    • 1907-1917-1924-1932-1939-1947: The color is called "brown yellow". The 1917 campaign experienced a delay due to the war.
    • 1954-61: New color for the Eiffel Tower which becomes “brown red”.
    • Since 1968: The color “Eiffel Tower Brown” has been chosen for its harmony with the Parisian landscape.

@firelordzukoo what a fun fact to know! I had never thought about this :D

I'm sure in the future there will be an even taller building than Burj Khalifa - do you have any ideas on which country will it be in? 😍
